About Frank
In early November, 1987 I walked away from my job in New York City in lower management to pursue executive and professional recruiting.
I have never looked back.
The details about my venture into recruiting, and ensuing trials, tribulations and jubilations are spelled out here .
Since the NAPS conference in Phoenix during October, 2004 I was approached to become “official blogger” of a number of national, highly trafficked recruiter forums and online recruiting portals.
While flattered of those requests, and scores of others that I have received since by email and telephone since … I had trouble with the idea of my name and reputation being lost in a blog jungle that either lacked focus, were too pro-establishment (sensitive to corporate recruiting), or full of amateur rantings.
Some of these forums and blogs would heavily censor my material beyond recognition. Others seemed to smack of a Coney Island side shows with participants contributing Star Trek “Klingon” video clips as if they had something to do with recruiting!
For those of you that take recruiting seriously. For those of you that have dedicated your life, livelihood, family’s well-being to the improvement, refinement and continuous enhancement and perfection of our craft and trade … THIS will be the place you will feel welcomed and find true mental stimulation.
In the spirit of my mentor and role-model Paul Hawkinson, former 30-year editor of The Fordyce Letter … You may find my style and approach is similar to that publication which I contributed to since 1998.
Join me as we have fun venturing where no other recruiting discussion dares to go.
Now that’s a nod to Star Trek I am willing to make!
