Back in the mid-to-late nineteen-nineties Nynex (formerly New York Telephone) used to run quirky ads on television for its Yellow Pages. One of these ads spoofed recruiters! I was NOT HAPPY at the mud this particular ad dragged our recruiting industry through.
Everyone has a different style for getting retained searches. www.technorati.com as I have learned, is the equivalent of Google for blogs only. It searches, categorizes blogs all over the world … of which www.searchwizardry.com is now part of. When I hear of LinkedIn, Myspace, tweeter, Facebook and other alternate forms of recruiting I’m reminded of 10 years ago. It was 1998. My misplacement of capitalization is intentional in the above heading. LinkedIn spells itself with a double capital so I decided to play along. There’s been alot of brouhaha over LinkedIn lately.
